Team member in the spotlight: Lorraine Reid

Team member in the spotlight

In this series, we’re spotlighting a different MWM team member each month so you can get to know the team a little better. Say hello to Receptionist Lorraine Reid.

“MWM Advisory has strong values that underpin the framework of a positive and healthy company. I feel proud to be part of a team whose aim is to continuously provide high-quality services and embrace change.”

Tell us a bit about your role…

As I approach my one-year anniversary in March, I can confirm that I really enjoy being the face of MWM Advisory.  As the Receptionist, I setup the front office and facilitate boardroom meetings daily.

It’s important to me to meet and greet clients who visit the office, and have a friendly phone manner. Making people comfortable is key for productive meetings or discussions.

Some of my role includes mail, updating client accounts, office administration, assisting the practice manager software and ordering supplies but overall, I try to keep the office running like a well-oiled machine, even to the extent that the office cookie jar is filled.

What inspires you?

Working in a bright supportive environment with people who really care.

If you could travel to one place in the world, where would it be and why?

I don’t travel very often but the United States would be one place I’d like to check out, and part of the holiday would have include a road trip down Route 66 sharing the journey between a Harley and a Mustang!

The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is …..

You don’t know what’s around the corner.  Live each day as if it’s your last, with gusto and a positive spirit.
