Team culture and support is very important to me and I’ve certainly found that at MWM! This in turn reflects on the relationships we have with our clients.
What drew me to work at MWM Advisory?
First and foremost, the culture, the support and guidance and an accounting firm that thinks outside the box – it’s an exciting firm!
What’s the best part about working with James Marshall?
Where do you begin?! He has amazing energy, cheeky and funny! I admire his passion and dedication for his business and he absolutely genuinely cares about his Team. He’s a leader I have a lot of respect for.
What is my great achievement?
Without a doubt being a Mother. He’s a young man now and has a Degree in Architecture and continually inspires me and makes me so very proud of the man he has become.
What album are you listening to and why do you like it?
My taste is varied and will depend on my mood but you’ll always find me listening to Triple J, and I don’t have one favourite album – I have many! My favourite band is Ocean Ally so I listen to them a lot, along with Winston Surfshirt, Tesky Brothers, Gang of Youths and Meg Mac. And when I’m nostalgic and thinking of my Dad (who instilled in me the love of music) it’s The Doobie Brothers, who I’ve seen twice at Byron Bay Bluesfest over the years, hands down best gig ever (followed by The Eagles then Florence and the Machine!) Can you tell I love music?!
If you could run your own business what would it be?
I adore cooking, a lot! I home cook my dog’s meals as well, she’s a pampered pooch! I’d teach people the basic principles of cooking, in small groups around a big wooden table where you can laugh and chat over a glass of vino while creating a simple meal and for people to realise the connection, love and fun that food brings to friends and family. As I say cooking is therapy that fills your heart with joy!
