Say hello to Steven Stamatiou, Undergraduate Accountant

Tell us a bit about your role…
I’ve recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), so I’m coming on board the MWM team as an Undergraduate Accountant.
My job is to help the team out with start-up files, BAS preparations, liaising with the ATO on behalf of our clients and assisting in the preparation of Income Tax Options for clients.
What is the most challenging aspect of your job?
As I’m at the start of my professional career, everything can be a challenge, but that’s why it’s exciting.
Here at MWM I’ve found a brilliant group of accountants who have made this very technical job comprehensible, and they are very supportive, which puts me in the best position to positively impact our clients.
What inspires you outside of the office?
I’m heavily inspired by my family who in the last 10 years have gone through many challenges and heartaches. In the end, we’ve all come out smiling and grateful.
What do you enjoy the most about working at MWM?
Without a doubt the most enjoyable aspect of MWM is the incredible environment we have in the office. We have a highly enthusiastic and cooperative team who lead by example, inspiring me to progress and learn.
