In this series we’re spotlighting a different MWM team member each month, so you can get to know the team a little better. Say hello to, Client Services Coordinator, Gillian Haseler.
“I enjoy working for such a progressive and proactive company. MWM Advisory promotes the importance of training and development, ensuring our clients are given the most up-to-date information and advice available to them.”
Tell us a bit about your role…
In my role as a Client Services Coordinator, I bring together the administration and accounting side of MWM Advisory.
An average day often includes attending to queries and requests from clients, preparing and sending tax packs and other compliance work, liaising with ASIC with company changes or set ups, assisting the Accountants with ATO queries, whilst attending to many other daily administration and client service needs.
What is the most challenging aspect of your job?
The accounting industry works around important business deadlines – monthly, quarterly and yearly, and the nature of the beast is that there is always an ebb and flow with jobs coming in and going out.
This means that it can often be challenging to get work out to clients in a timely and efficient manner to ensure our clients are not adversely affected. So, we have to manage the ebb and flow and provide consistent contact and reporting to our clients.
What inspires you?
My family and friends, being healthy and fit, and not taking life too seriously!
What book are you reading at the moment and why do you like it?
I’m currently reading “Becoming Supernatural” by Dr Joe Dispenza.
Dr Joe is renowned for his scientific approach to “re-wiring” the brain through meditation to develop the skill of creating a more efficient, balanced healthy body. Fascinating reading and case studies!
The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is …..
“Don’t ever stop learning and growing as a person.”
What do you enjoy the most about working at MWM?
We have a great team atmosphere at MWM with a wonderful group of like-minded people who work hard and enjoy a good laugh.
