Tell us a bit about your role.
In my role as the Information Management Accountant, I am tasked with assisting our clients with all of their data and information needs. The aim is to ensure that the information remains accurate and meaningful to their business. I also work alongside our tax accountants in the development and preparation of statutory accounts.
What’s the best part about working at MWM?
I work with a great team of people who have amazing experience that they share freely with the others. I appreciate the positive attitude of management to embracing work/life balance too.
What inspires you?
Personally, I aim to be a positive person and enjoy seeing that positivity rub off on others.
Professionally, I like to be surrounded by a hardworking with the knowhow to help businesses to grow and exceed their goals.
Are accountants misunderstood?
Totally!
There are the few that fit the old mould, but in my experience, some are the life of the party outside the work. You should see our team events.
What book/tv show/album are you reading/watching/listening to at the moment and why do you like it?
I’ve always got two books on the go at once and the first one is Rock Chicks, which is a collection of biographies from influential female rockers from the 60’s to the present day.
The second book I am into at the moment is re-reading a favourite The Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts, in which a convicted Australian bank robber escapes from Pentridge Prison and flees to India.
I am also currently bingeing on The Crown and American Horror Story on Netflix.
The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is ….
‘Always be kinder than you feel,’ and ‘if life gives you lemons, make Margaritas!’
